size vs age

Havnt posted in a long time but I have a male african bull frog, roughly 18-20 months old, ive had him for 15 months and he was maybe 2.5" when I got him. He is around 7.5" now and still seems to be growing but his back stripe is almost totally gone and he's slowed down a lot. I give him one frozen mouse every two months and then he's fed earthworms/crickets as a staple. Just moved him into a new 55gallon setup with a large water section and eco earth. Just curious if I could still see 8-9" outa him or at this age if he's pretty well maxed out.

I think there is a good chance (8 is more likely). He is still relatively young. I'm no expert though.

Hello there! There isn't really any conclusive answer for you, which I know - isn't the best way to start a post off. It's said that most frogs will have done most of their growing by the 2nd year and if my calculations are correct - that date is coming close. Every frog is different, but I'd say not to expect him to grow to anymore than 8 inches at the most. Of course, that doesn't mean it won't get any rounder! You can just never tell, and others might have different opinions or experiences too. But either way, 7.5 inches is definitely a healthy number and you should definitely be proud of your little (or I guess big) guy.
