RETF - Just getting started - Hospital/Quarantine Tank

Few questions for you... I have a 20 h tank that I was going to use, (they will be captive bred and from a breeder) well that work? How does the feeding bowl work? And what type of bottom do you suggest?

Question for both of you: what about plant recommendations and where to get them?

And bill you have been most helpful as well! This forum is exactly what I needed! There is such a wealth of knowledge here!

Yes - one small ( re-potted ) pothos plant.
I have it set up ...I will post a few photos if it.

I have glass siliconed on the inside ---3/4 of the way up- but plexi taped to the front will work just fine.

Having the tank vertically oriented is not 100% necessary-- but the frog would appreciate it !

I never thought of using a tank on it's side. That's a lil bit o' brilliant right there.

I use pothos in mine too. They love them. Lynn's set-up is near identical to mine, except she uses awesome clips and I twist mine around a bamboo planter loop. They both work well .

You may not need very much for the quarantine tank ( depending on the ambient temp. in the area where the tanks is), careful not to over-heat it !
I use Philips (standard base) "plant bulbs" during the day ( on a timer) .
