Default Hello from Lower Mainland BC, Canada

    Hello and Hi!

I'm not a frog owner yet, but I'm about to be. My son bought me an exo terra tank and hood with some fake plants and coco husk and gave me the money for one RETF. Lovely gift but now that I've done my research I know that I need two frogs as they are social, and it would seem that my 12x12x18 tank is too small for two RETFs. *sigh* This gift is becoming more of an expense than we originally thought. And now that I've been doing research for days I don't want to back out of it! I didn't know how much I wanted froggie pets until now.

I found this forum in my internet travels and despite that random question which denied me registering TWICE (yes, even WITH Google's help) I registered so that I can learn more and participate in discussions. There seems to be a wealth of real information here.

I'm on the hunt for a cheap 18x18x24 tank, and am now waffling between real plants and silk ones. I want to create the happiest environment for my new froggie buddies that I can, but my only jones is that I do not have a green thumb... at all. I see lots of talk about plants here, but haven't really researched how many of you have silk ones. That's next.

Anywho, that's my hello and hi and how are you. I hope to have lots of lovely interactions and learn oodles. Have yourselves a wonderful day!

welcome to the forum! if I were you i'd go with real plants, do it all naturalistic and pretty, and I'm sure frogs would be happier this way too. you have a very good son you know

Oh, I know!! I'm now leaning towards pothos and silk plants. It was the "if you can keep a frog alive you can keep a pothos alive" that sold me.
