Leave them be, they don't sound like they need any help. Are you in a position to raise tads right now? They are hard to grow out where ADFs are concerned.
The eggs are tiny black specs. I find them hard to see. Anytime I "tried" to breed these guys I used a seperate bredding tank that was bare bones with floating live plants for the eggs to stick to and then removed the adults back to their home tank.
