Hey, only just joined this forum and I have had a look through for some information on this topic but couldn't find much. Purchased what I thought was an Albino African Dwarf Frog yesterday but after some research I'm starting to consider that it could be an African Clawed frog. Since I already have two dwarf frogs and
quite a few community fish in my tank, think I really need to get him identified before anything happens.
This is the best photo I've managed to get. Seems to get on well with the other fish and frogs at the moment, so not sure what to think. Does have black colourations on the end of his back toes.
Thanks![]()
Managed to gain a clearer picture of it's back and hind legs if needed.

This looks like a dwarf frog for two main reasons. One is being that on the first picture, I notice that the hands are webbed. Two, the eyes are inward or "flat" in a way. The clawed frog will look almost the same except that the clawed frog will have no webbed hands and protruding eyes. You can refer to more information in this thread, members helped me out with loads of information! Also take a look at the images of my frogs on the thread and compare to yourshttp://www.frogforum.net/aquatic-cla...warf-frog.html
Yep, it's an ADF!
Thanks guys that's great! I was having a nose online and kept seeing posts saying albino ADF don't exist and was just a bit worried y'see. But thanks!![]()
So glad you thought enough to do some research/asking around instead of just assuming, good thinking on your part! such a cute little guy, i love ADFs!
