How do I know if a mouse is too big?
I just fed my Pacman a small mouse a few minutes ago, he pretty much got the whole thing into his mouth, besides the tail, and a leg. How do I know if it's too big? Should he have swallowed it already?

Pictures please!! It is best to only give them Pinky Mice or Fuzzies not adult mice to be safe. If you think the food item is too large then trust your instincts because that probably means it is.

He just swallowed the entire thing, so I think he's fine, but here's a semi-recent pic.
Well this was a few months ago.

Ok. I'd her/him about 2 to 3 days before offering anymore food so that he/she has time to digest the mouse. When you do offer food offer Night Crawlers and only about 2 or 3 so that he/she has something easily digested behind the mouse and they act as a stool softener.

Don't be surprised if he doesn't eat, though. I gave mine his first pinky about two weeks ago and he's only slightly smaller than yours. He buried himself and didn't eat for a week! On day seven he ate 2-3 crickets, which is normal.

rule of thumb I learned is nothing bigger than the length of their mouth. (from corner to corner)
