Alright so I plan on picking up a light bulb for heat (im thinking ReptiGlo 2.0?), and a thermometer/hygrometer. we have a mister to use that we use for our snakes. We also will be getting some spring water as well. The shop is giving us crickets, and they are coming with an exo-terra 12x12x18 (we plan to move up to the 18x18x24), the bottom layer of substrate is cypress mulch (i am going to get a brick of coco fiber asap) and on top is sphagnum moss. inside are two plastic plants (we will be switching to live asap as we can place the plant order), and a decent sized branch.
Question: do I still need to quarantine? if so for how long? we purchased a plastic bin to place them in for heavy cleaning. can this be used? or do i clean out the whole enclosure and use that?
**I'm new to this, but VERY eager to learn, I've constantly been reading threads and all I can on the internet, so I very much appreciate the advice, help, and criticism (be it blunt and/or constructive)!!! Thank you all!
Also, when we go to take them home, how do we transport them in the car? will they be okay if I hold the enclosure in my lap? Or do we put them in a smaller contianer for the car ride? Just want to keep their stress as minimal as possible. There are 2 btw. They are both about 1.5 inches, one may be a tad bit bigger. The one with lots of white spots is now known as Yoda, the one with one or two white spots is Qui-Gon JinnI'm so in love already!!!

Hi,
They should be transported in separate /small containers ( like deli cups) w/ dampened paper towel.
You can put the deli cups into a second container or bag and keep it on you lap to keep them warm.
If they have NOT been raised together - they should stay separated on the ride home AND during their quarantine period of a minimum of 30 days.
If they were raised together - they can stay together - and remain together during quarantine.
No disrespect to the person you are purchasing from:
*If the person you are purchasing them from is not sure about any of this ... then separate them ( even if the person was keeping them together)
*If the person you are purchasing them from is not positive .. and tells you it's okay to keep them together ; it is wrong information. They should be quarantined separately.
Translation: when in doubt - separate and quarantine separately.
Quarantine quarters can be simple /small aquariums or critter keepers with dampened paper towel ( de-chlorinated water) a soaking dish very sallow ( de-chlorinated water)...... and a very, very well cleaned branch of a pothos or a small very, very well cleaned re-potted pothos for each temporary enclosure.
Dont' forget your SMALL crickets, good calcium/vit D, and vitamin supplement ( ie Rep-Cal) for dusting the crickets.
Feed them well !
Enjoy them !and congratulations......I like their names !

Exciting news!!!
Anyone??
You can dunk them in a 5% bleach solution and then rinse them off and allow to dry. Pothos is actually epiphytic and can survive quite well in a humid environment without any soil. It can also survive indefinitely in a glass or bowl of water (this is also an easy way to propagate it via cuttings). Or you can just put it in a little pot with whatever substrate you plan to use for your vivarium.
If you aren't planning to separate the frogs then I'd just use the 12x12x18 they're coming with, but would replace the substrate. I wouldn't do anything fancy to it, just pothos and a few branches for climbing, and cover up the back and sides for added security. And get working on that 18x18x24.
Thanks so much UncleChester, I've been stressing so bad cause I want to make sure I'm a good frog momma. They're both usually bright lime green and one (Qui-Gon) is dark green and wide awake, the other has stayed lime green and is asleep. My only worry is if I spray the sides of the tubs they have a hard time sticking to the sides. But I will put the pothos in there in the morning and that should help yes?
The plants will give them something to climb on. They will perch and sleep on the leaves.
The quarantine time gives you a great time to build their bigger home.
