    Default Please Help!

I've had two fire bellied toads for about a few years. One of them has become very big within the last month. His throat is bloated and he hasn't been eating or moving much. A few weeks ago I drove about an hour to take him to the vet and by the time I got there, a lot of his bloating was gone. They checked him and said they couldn't find anything wrong. Well when I got him home he got big again. I have never had any issues before this and would just like some input on what I should do. Thanks!

Or maybe is water in the tank to dirty and he is toxing out? That might explain why swelling went down when he was out of tank and re occurred when you put him back?

Thanks for the replies. I usually just feed them crickets. I've fed them mealworms probably only two times since I've gotten them, but I've read that it's not really good to feed them mealworms so I stopped. I've been cleaning out their tank every day since he got bloated. I thought he might have swallowed a rock too, but I figured that the vet would have told me if he did. I just moved him into his own tank so I'll just keep watching him to see if anything changes.

What kind of water do you use?

touch his belly tell us if you feel a lump.if it has then it's constipated, he might have swallowed a rock , rocks are serious death to amphibs.

No lumps and I use tap water mixed with water conditioner to get rid of the chlorine.

I'm taking him back to the vet tomorrow so hopefully this time they can tell me what's wrong with him.
