So I am gonna get my bullfrogs a new tank on boxing day, and am deciding between my friends 100 gallon stock tank, or buying a new 75 gallon glass tank. Here is what I think of the two:
Stock tank pros- Larger
Frogs feel secure
Light weight, easy to manage
Could be moved outside in the summer (Shade of course)
Cant break
cons- Cant see frogs except from top (Harder to monitor growth and health)
Have to make my own screen top
Cant be decorative (no point)
Might be difficult to place glass divider if it tapers from top to bottom
75 gallon glass tank pros-Easy to see and monitor frogs
Can be decorative
Comes with screen top
cons-Frogs don't feel secure (unless background is put on)
Heavy
Can break (have yet to get a tank of anykind to break, but still something to consider)
Water spots obscure view
Smaller
The choice sounds kinda obvious, but I would personally go with the 75 gallon tank, and maybe buy the 100 gallon from my friend as well for the summer. What do you guys think I should do?
I would advise the 75 G.
I'm with you on this 75 inside 100 outside . If your gonna get the 100g at a good price then you should get it as well but 75g either way
