Me too I inspected his toe today and I've decided that it's not bone that is visible but dried flesh. It occured to me that maybe the bone in a frog's leg doesn't go all the way to the end of the toe. Especially in tree frogs where they haver their pads. I'm hoping that it will be a case of trimming the dead flesh off and giving antibiotics. Fingers crossed!!!

I wish you and your critter luck. I wish I had a herp vet that was not a four hour drive away. I can get fecals done here, but most anything else requires me to diagnose the issue myself and then beg my doggie vet to help me out getting/administering meds. I have been very lucky so far, but I fear the day is going to show up where I have an issue I cannot solve myself.
Watching FrogTV because it is better when someone else has to maintain the enclosure!

I know what you mean, the vet I saw today wasn't a herp vet but he said he'd be able to do a toe amputation (have to take Toad, as he's been named, back on Friday). I was also told to put honey or Aloe Vera on his wounds, and antibiotics will be administered after the op. I'm so happy to have found a vet willing to help me out
