Default Dart frogs with fish in the same tank what are your thoughts>

    Hello,
I've always desired to have a tank which had a water feature housing a few tiny fish on the bottom with a lot of land for a nice pair of dart frogs also in the tank. I know there are many bright minds on this forum. Does anyone know if this is physically possible and if so how?
    Thanks

Not sure if you could put fish probably they would eat the fishes?my fbt eats up a guppy in his tank and also wont the frog get stressed if it's with fishes?
Well you could try placing rocks so that the fish wont stress them up.

I doubt a dart can eat a fish. They eat with there very small tongues so a fish would be to heavy to pic up.

I'm fairly certain dart frogs wont eat fish? Correct me if I'm wrong . My main concern would be the amount of water you plan on having. There are very few fish that can survive in less than 5 gallons of water and pretty much none that can thrive in less than 10 gallons (except bettas, but they still need at least 5 gallons IMO). So if you wanted to have fish you would need a decent amount of water. I would assume a set up like what you're talking about would have to be in at least a 40 breeder. Now, I don't have any experience with dart frogs or with building tanks with water features. I'm just speculating using my knowledge of fish keeping. I'm sure someone else who has more specific experience will chime in too

I believe what you are looking to build is called a paludarium. I have read several posts on here of people building them. I have no experience on the topic but It can be done with some work

there's no reason why you can't have fish with dart frogs. as far as the amount of water, 5 gallons would be the minimum, and you would be looking at micro fish like chili rasboras, or one of it's cousins. for larger volumes of water, you could go with endler's live bearers (a form of guppy from south america). plecos are fine, as long as you go with the small species like bristlenose or rubber lips. (4"). otocinclus would also be happy in a small volume of water. just remember, please, to keep the health and welfare of the fish on the same level as the frogs. so don't go trying to cram something like a gourami into 3 gallons of water volume (i've seen it done)
