Hello all,
I am new to pacmans and already love them to death!
My question is what is a good all around balanced Diet for these guys?
They guy at the reptile store says mice is all they need, but from what I am hearing that is not the case....
Dusted crix and earthworms. Variety is the spice of life. But nothing with hard exoskeleton i heard theyre hard to digest.
Mice are wayyyy too fatty and the hair can cause impaction if fed to often. They should only get rodents once a month. Samurai pacman food is the only diet that is supposed to be a perfect all around staple. But even most people who use that offer variety, i have yet to try using it myself but have read great things. Dubia Roaches are another great feeder option.
2.0 Bombina orientalis
1.0 Bufo americanus
0.1.1 Ceratophrys cranwelli
0.1 Xenopus laevis
All my arachnids and other inverts listed in my profile
Offer a variety. Earthworms and Dubia Roaches make an excellent staple. Hornworms(Goliath Worms),Silkworms, and Pacman Food make great treats. Mice should be fed sparingly no more that once a month. Fish like Guppies, Mollys, and Minnows are ok occationally if they come from a reputable source.
I'd only recommend roaches if you plan on having a colony and have more than a pacman to feed. Mine are starting to breed like crazy, and I have a pacman and bearded dragon. If you just have the one frog I'd say earthworms! Easy to care for and dirt cheap (no pun intended)! Ok... maybe that pun was intended!![]()
I'd go for a diet of lob worms and pacman diet.
Thank you so much guys
