So i purchased a standard ten gallon tank and stand. I am planning to make this tank horizontal not vertical. My first question is what type of dart frog do you think i should get/ how many of them should i get. More importantly what is involved in setting up the vivarium. I would like to have a waterfall/ a pool at the bottom of the tank. How would i do this? Are there any other vivarium basics i should know? Thanks. Sorry i'm a noob.
Most important question to ask yourself : What species of frog do I want ?
And then build it. Avoid doing it......... the other way around.
A 10 gallon, vertically oriented , would be okay for dart frogs.
You could treat yourself to a larger enclosure and save your 10 gallon for your quarantine/hospital tank? You will anyway- eventually. This is a very contagious hobby !!!!
