    Default Is this normal?

I just got this guy a couple weeks ago from the local pet store. He eats fine, alert, poops, etc. just like my other pyxies but it seems that he always has a big sack of water in his butt. Hopefully you can see it in the pics but its always so droopy. I tried keeping him a little dry to see if he shoots it out but it always seems that he holds onto it. Is this something I should be concerned with? I know they naturally absorb water through their butt but my others always seem to shoot it out periodically. He is just always "holding" it in.

Whoa!!!! That is definitely not normal. I'm not sure what could be causing the frog to retain water in this way. Are you able to take him to a Herp Vet? If so I would. Could be anything from tumors to an infection. It is causing issues with his hind legs judging by his position in the second pic.

I spoke with the previous owner of the frog and he said that he noticed that since he was little. The frog was kept on ecoearth and had a bowl to soak in. Was fed only crickets. He said he had no problem with him, just that he didnt have time to raise him up so he brought it to the pet store.

I'm gunna say that malnutrition is probably the main problem. If the frog was fed only crickets with no editional supplementation or gutloading the crickets then more than likely there is some serious developement issues. Answer these questions and repost the answers here. http://www.frogforum.net/pacman-frog...enclosure.html

Also get some good pics of his hindquarters. The vent and all.
