Default where do you guys usually buy africa bull frog?

Guys, I live in Eugene,OR. I already have a pacman frog and really want to get one more giant africa bull frog. but, I ask lots of local pet stores, they told me they only have white tree forgs right now. That's so bad! SO, I am wondering where you guys usually get africa bull frog?

you can look on kingsnake classifieds Kingsnake.com Classifieds > Horned, Pacman, Pixie Frog Classifieds or just google or look in forum ads.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

LLLReptile has some for sale now.
I've never bought animals from them before, but from what I've heard/read, no one has anything but good things to say about them.

I personally bought mine from a mom-n-pop petshop.

Lol, yah shipping costs are terrible. That might be the only way you can get one though. My suggestion is this, if you have any reptile shows within 60 miles, go and check there first. Look it up on google, I'm sure there is one in oregon somewhere.. I'd be surprised if there wasn't.

Now, think of shipping like this. You either drive 100 miles to goto a reptile show and take a chance they won't even have the frog. Depending on what you're driving, you're spending almost $40 in gas anyway. You spend that on shipping and buy a frog from a reliable seller and you're guaranteed a frog. Every pyxie I've ever seen at a reptile show has been $40. On underground reptiles pyxies are $22 right now.

Shipping is expensive but when you factor in your time going somewhere and gas money to get there.. it may not seem so bad. Always make sure you have a live arrival guarantee when ordering online, just in case there are complications. Any reliable vendor will give you this.

Just curious, but if they are only $35 why do some people sell them for $200?

The ones you see for $200+ are probably adults. Adult go for a lot more, especially a good looking huge male. Anyone trying to sell a baby for that price is insane or has a rare type.

I'm sorry for my newb questions, but why are adults more? I would think people would want babies so they can watch them grow? Maybe that's just me

I think they're more because people have just spent a lot more time and resources on them, they're eating machines. Also, you get to actually know the sex of the animal. It's real hard to sex them as froglets.

Adults are also generally hardier and more resistant to the sorts of stress and travails that might take out a youngster.

Can't go wrong with LLL. That's where I got my Pyxies. At this very moment in time i'd wait for Mike to see if he gets the Tanzinians. Nobody has those. If you get babies and are hoping for a male you'll have to get a group for a better chance. Otherwise wait for mike and pick one:-)

I believe oregon is the only state that does not allow pyxies. That may be why you don't see them in the stores.
