Like Grif said, the vet is necessary. This looks like something congenital to me... Probably would have been a failure to thrive in the wild. Try not to beat yourself up over this; doesn't sound like it would be caused by anything you did especially after correcting the water issue.

We found a vet and took Thor in and the vet said it was congenital issue, she humanely put him down last night so he would not suffer anymore. Poor little guy, we had rescued him so we really had no idea where he came from or what his past is. We certainly did get attached and hopefully will be able to get another one soon. Thank you everybody for your help!!

I'm very sorry for your loss. You did everything you could. At least you can be comforted by knowing he is no longer sufferering. RIP little one.

You did well in helping him. Sometimes ailments are beyond our abilities. Know you did your best and remember he would thank you if he could. Hugs!

so sorry for your loss, not long ago i also lost one of my rescue pacs, it still hurts

you tried, you did all you could and as Heather said, Thor would thank you if you could, however there is just so much that we can do to help, but while doing so you were getting loads of information and experience that will help many more frogs in the future, so his death was not for nothing

    Rest in peace Thor
