They can swell up like this as a result of an impaction from swallowing bedding or other objects. What substrate do you keep it on?

I noticed some mucus around the right hand there could also be an infection involved as well as an impaction.

I didn't take notice of the "mucus" but now that you've pointed it out Kurt, I can see it on the back too. It looks a lot like soggy shed skin though.

I guess I am more aware of frog mucus, as I have a red-eye that has been sick off and on for the past few months. Just finished a round of antibiotics, I don't know if its working. The vet is not quite sure what it is, other than an infection. I think the mucus is coming out the backend. One side of the frog is larger than the other.

My setting is very simple, just use a plastic box with a sponege set aside, with very shallow water. Changing water daily, feed with cricket.
I will think of some infection but this is cause by food or the holding facility?

    regards

Who know's how or why they develop infections. I have two red-eyed leaf frogs in the same enclosure, one has an infection the other doesn't. It's a mystery why one is sick and the other is fine.
Just make sure your frog sees a vet soon.
