Don't be surprised if your frog doesn't like them. Red wigglers give off a smelly substance that tastes awful.
I thought they tasted pretty good. Try putting four at a time in your mouth. That's the majic number..... let us know how they taste!!!
My pyxies grew up on them almost exclusively....but then again, they are Pyxies.![]()

No smell. Didnt try one myself but will try to feed them this tomorow.
I usually offer them to babies as very small whole worms. If you cut them they will excrete their defensive slime. Always rinse them in de-chlorinated water and dry them before offering so most of the slime is removed.
Thank you colleen i shall try that tonite. My baby cornutas didnt seem to like being tong fed wax worms. So i gave them tiny crix dusted they seem to like the way they move. Predatory instincts i guess. But is there any techniques to tong feeding quarter sized cornuta?s
I've got two Cornuta from mike same size as yours. They feed well. I do have to tap and rub my green on the mouth a little, but the other will take what I am feeding without touching.
Just be persistent and they will take it. Mine will only eat every third day...I'm used to my pyxies. They eat everything in site no matter what.
None of my Pacs will eat red wigglers. I think they smell different prey which is strange as hell to me. I didn't think they'd have a very good sense of smell. This might sound goofy to say they smell really well but there is no other explanation for why they will take some food willingly and other food grudgingly, and some not at all.
