    Default A little curious

    So last night i saw one of my female big eyed treefrogs eating a little male big eyed tree frog and it's not common becuase we had them together for quite a while and i do feed them crikets so it's not because their starving but im curious do female frogs actually eat males after they mate or what because my mom was upset please help if you can

    frogs would eat anything that fits in their mouth, so if she is big and the male is very little, that's what might happen unfortunately, it is not about if they're starving or not.
    Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

    Sorry you had to find this out the hard way, but most frogs will eat anything that's alive and will fit down their throat. It's never a good idea to house frogs together if their size difference is large enough for one them to end up prey. Cannibalism is a very real option for many frogs.
