breeding question

What months should i start putting them together in a rain chamber? Does the water parameters need to be the same as keeping tropical fish and what temp should the water be? i still have a ways to go but just want to prepare myself. Because i now have 3 quarter sized cornuta, 3 caatingas 2.5", 1 mint cranwelli 2.5", and 1 2.5- 3" onata (my pride and joy). Ill be feeding them all today and will post pics.
