Though I've already had the distinct and rewarding pleasure of meeting some of the grand poobahs here over at caudates.org, I'll go ahead introduce myself here.

My name is Mal. I've been herping since the mid 1960's (yes, I'm old), but went on hiatus from the hobby from the late 1980's until about 2 years ago while I watched my two kids grow up (and use what would have been a herp room(s) for their respective bedrooms). So alas, I can't say that I have 45 years experience but I do have about 25 years. Over that time I've been the caretaker of about 25 or so different species of anurans.

I like toads, tree frogs and terrestrial frogs equally.

Unlike the vogue now, I am not a species separatist, probably because we old-timers were never told not to mix species, so we did and we found there are combinations that can be successful. I've noticed that the pro-mixing and anti-mixing factions often correspond to age. But....I've debated that issue quite enough elsewhere and have little interest in revisiting it, at least for now.

Right now I have 4 Green Tree Frogs in a 55 gallon, 1 Leopard Frog (not sure if it's Northern or Southern) in a 20 gallon long, 3 of what was sold to me as 'Moroccan Green Toads' (Bufo virdis) and 1 Bufo Regularis (I actually don't recall what the common name for that one is, 'Egyptian Toad'?), with all four toads in a 40 gallon breeder tank.

I've also just set up a 35 gallon hex environment but haven't decided what I'm going to put in it.
