    Default Ornate getting too fat?

This one has never turned down a meal since I've had her that I remember. She'd eat probably 3+ nightcrawlers a day if I let her. Lately I have been feeding her every 2 - 3 days as much as she will eat and other days one nightcrawler if that. She's right around 4" and about 8 - 9 months old I'd guess -- got her in early July when she was around 2" I think.

She seems to have some "baggy" skin, so wondering if she is getting too fat?

are you sure that is female? can't see her thumb clearly. 4" at 8 month sounds more like male to me.
    looking good either way

No, I'm not positive. But she has no nuptial pads.

They don't have baggy skin when they're over weight. She looks completely normal to me. Baggy skin usually means underweight. Kind of like when they are holding water and then urinate their skin will appear saggy and loose, but will Refit itself. Is this what you mean by baggy skin?

Oh and I believe it is actually female. Should have pads by now if male and be calling.

Her skin does get baggy a bit when she urinates but looks fine soon afterwards. How can I tell if she is getting overweight? I don't want to deprive her of food, on the other hand I don't want her to get overweight.

Thank you. That's my suspicion anyway but think I'll give it another month or so before I consider it definite.

All my males had pads and were calling by 5.5 months or sooner.

You can tell for sure. They're obese if when they sit normally you cannot ses their feet.

A couple more pics from tonight. My main concern is the fold of body/skin over the leg. I think she just shed and there is part of her skin shed on her front leg. She is as wide as she is long. Correction on when I got her: JUNE, not July. I've had her about 6 months. The first and so far the only ornate I've seen in a pet store (and my first ornate).

You mean her double chin??? That is 100% normal for a large adult Pacman. Females especally get the double chin. Or actually its a neck roll.

OK I guess she's not too fat, then

But the circled area is what I was asking about.

Mine has the same skin folds over the front legs. Probably more pronounced. On mine they seem to be more fluid filled than fat. Not anything to worry about though.
