    Default c. ornata question

Do they usually maintain their color as they get bigger? Or do they get darker or brighter?

they usually do, it depends on a lot of things with environment and genetics being the most influential. they like to blend in and be invisible, so in a darker environments they will be darker.

is it yours in the pic? if so, s/he is very pretty

Many Ornates brighten as they mature, but as Lija said they like to blend in and hide. They'll darkrn to match their surroundings, but that isn't perminant and they can return to their brighter colors if the want.

Griff, Lija, it seems like all these Ceratoprhys get more bumpy and spikey as they mature. Have you found this to be true?

The ornata will hold thier color at the least. That's why I like em!!!!

Some do and some don't. There are some Ornata that appear far more rough skinned than others. I really like the rugged rough spikey look on those Ornates that have the gene for it.
