The Cbb C. Cornuta are quarter size. I have done all the work getting them started and feeding off tongs. VERY EASY to care for them now. They are dime size when they come out of the water.
The color on these guys are a green and purple mix. $150.00ea

I can't help but be bothered by this post. About a month ago another member posted a link to Kingsnake where about 20 of these frogs or more were all going for 60 a piece. He was super excited and told everyone on here about it giving us all the opportunity because he wanted to share his find with others who had the same passions. I thought that was really cool of him.

Then I go and check out the site (I've already got very high quality Cornuta, but I like looking at them anyway especially babies)
anyway, to the point, pretty much by the next day Mike you personally bought them all. You then proceeded to post saying these frogs probably wouldn't be for sale at all, and of some did go up it would be in the spring and it wouldn't be cheap. not only did this confuse me, but it pissed me off. I didnt even want to buy one of the frogs, I'm just mad you took away others opportunity, on top of that your asking price is $150 plus shipping??? Pretty high Price, non full green shouldn't go so high, especially when you yourself only paid 60 plus shipping. Why you thought getting more than double what you paid for them is fair is beyond me. I understand it looked like a great financial opportunity to you, but that's all it was. To a lot of other people owning a Cornuta is about a passion for frogs, not money.



Im sure you won't like me a ton after posting this, and if so I can accept that. I simply couldn't remain silent with how bothered I was/ am.

This looks like something that should go in the Testimonials not here. If you're complaining about a business transaction that went bad or have a problem with the a particular breeder or business you post it there. Otherwise rather than calling someone out right here in public you should do it privately. This way it doesn't turn into some sort of altercation right here and thus forcing my hand to end it.

Please be civil and do this privately or in the correct area.

I will also add that any breeder that sees C. cornuta for $60.00 each and didn't buy them all would be a fool. Him putting the money and time to get them established and feeding from tongs before reselling them costs time and money out of his pocket and therefore it is reasonable to resell these for $150.00 which is about normal pricing for them in the first place.

Nothing about what he did is wrong and he probably even offered more than the sellers asking price we don't know, but I do know him and have done business with him. So nothing he did is wrong. He's a breeder.

Keep that in mind.

Underground reptiles sold the babies at a wholesale price. If you don't recall eric ivans I believe had normal brown babies for $90.00 each earlier in the year. Greens and green mixes go for $125 to $200.00 depending on the color.

I welcome anyone to buy a dime size baby for the 60.00 if they ever get posted again for that price and tell me how easy it is to feed them. I put hours into growing these babies and getting them to feed easily off tongs. Time is money.

Underground knows they made a mistake in the price and I doubt those frogs will ever be for sale again at that price.


When I buy frogs I don't buy 1 or 2. I buy 20,50,100 and sometimes 200 at a time. Other dealers do beat me to the good stuff and buy everything before I get a chance too. Just the way it is.

I didn't buy them all. I only got ahold of 8. A family member beat me to them and bought them. I had to buy them from him. So I paid even more than the 60.00

Don't judge a book by its cover til you read atleast the first page.

Just to add my 2cents...If Mike wants to sell his Cornutas for a $150 let him. It's capitalism Duh! You can buy them at that price if you wish If not, your loss. Mike continue selling at whatever price you want.

Thank you. Its kinda like ..... I've bought albino ball pythons at $100.00 before. So does that mean that the new selling price should be $100.00 for albino balls or should it be the current 200-300.00?

All it takes is one person to ruin the market by selling wholesale to the public.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and I thought Lorenja presented the whole story, and then stated his thoughts respectfully. He also was aware of and acknowledged that it was a business opportunity for Mike. This post probably should not go into Testimonial section because there were no transactions involved. Mike didn't sell to Lorenja.

I totally agreed. It's just a nature of the business. You buy/obtain some product at one price then you sell them for higher prices to make profits. Underground Reptiles was selling the babies for cheap while Mike and others saw it simply as a chance to make some money.

While he did not buy from Mike he is calling out a business and complaining about the way he does business therefore it is something that should probably be in the Testimonials. Its kind of a gray area so I haven't moved the post. Anytime someone wishes to call out how someone does business it falls in the lines of the Testimonials or should be done so privately.

I never said that it was posted in a disrespectful way. These things seem to get out of hand alot so I just want everything to remain civil like it is. That's why I posted a warning.

If you missed out on the 60 bucks thats unfortunate. I know a guy that got one for the 60 and luckily hes experienced. It was hard to get to eat to start off. I bought two from mike at his asking price and both ate immediately from tongs. It was worth it IMO and I did do a transaction with Mike. 100-200 is fair for bi and tri colored Cornuta.

Anyways, dealing reptiles and amphibians is a very hard way to make a living, and I commend anybody who makes it through honest business and providing the herp hobby with what we want. Mike is very much in the right to market these frogs in this way. He recognized an opportunity and jumped on it. How can he build a business by any other method? This cannot be "price gouging" because this is a product that nobody "needs," and people will readily pay this price for something that is very much a novelty. I would not have been surprised to see them up for more, considering the work he has put into them.

Also, what Mike has stated about how one wholesaler can ruin the hobby is very true. I had seen this happen when I dealt mantids. Within a few years, $30 mantids became $3 on the market due to the fact of every kid breeding them and trying to get rid of them fast. This has happened to a [somewhat lesser] degree in the tarantula hobby.

There is no need to ever criticize somebody in this hobby for prices. If the prices are too high, you do not need to pay it to survive, and can look somewhere else. If you are complaining about the price, it's because you want to buy that animal, and you don't have enough in your pocket.

Once you lock in the breeding of a spider that lays 500+ eggs per sac, and have a high rate of success rearing the slings, prices are going to come down sooner or later, especially if everyone figures out how to do it. The same thing would happen to frogs if they weren't so hard to breed for most people. It's the nature of the game, this business is an interesting one in that breeders sell to and create their competition.
