Ordered these two from an online supplier last weekend and I got them on Tuesday (along with a couple other frogs and another tiger salamander). A friend wants one or two pixies and as I was wanting a couple frogs we split an order to get the frogs. They will stay with me for a few weeks until my friend can pick them up. They are about 1 1/4 - 1 1/2" long.
I have actually been wanting a pixie or two myself. At first I wanted a dwarf pixie due to their smaller size but now I'm wanting a bigger frog. Their teeth scare me a bit. So I'll see how these two go. They are eating nightcrawler chunks and small crickets and seem to have grown already.
Congrats. Good luck with them.
How will you decide which one to part with ?

Thank you. At this point my friend will be taking both of them. Depending on how I like these while they are here, I may get one or two myself.
A question for anyone -- is a 108 quart Sterilite-type container big enough for an adult (giant) pixie frog? I think the container measures around 26 - 28" inches long x around 14 - 16" inside the container at the bottom.
Another question -- these babies are not tong-trained. How do you tong-train a pixie? I've tried all the tricks that I use for my pacman frogs and these little ones just puff up or move away.
Main thing is to let them settle in and make sure they are eating well before you try to tong train. Last thing they need is giant tongs in their face as babies
Here's a picture of the two little ones I took today. They don't seem to be growing very much, not sure if that is normal or not. My pacman babies I got at the same time are growing more than they are, but they are eating worms. One is about 1 1/2 inches; the other a little larger.
They mostly eat crickets right now (gut loaded and dusted), and may or may not eat every night. I've tried nightcrawler pieces and sometimes one will go after a piece, sometimes not. One is a little smaller and it seems to eat about every other feeding. The smaller one has shown very little interest in worm pieces. They are being housed together right now. I feed them whatever they can eat in about 15 minutes.
I put them in a new temporary setup -- a 10 gallon with foam substrate, heated by heat pads. Let me know if something needs changing or if you have any suggestions. They have 2 water bowls, a couple of fake plants, and a hide (although transparent) made from a small sterilite container which they are around right now.
