Okay I am about to give up. I CAN NOT seem to find away to balance Humidity vs Heat. I have gone with packing tape as a means of insulation and taped 3/4 of his tank lid, top and bottom. It's a split top tank lid that is hinged lengthwise. I have 2 UTH mats on one side of the tank and I still cant get the tank to 80 if I put a lamp on it the temp shoots to 82+ and dried the tank out. What in the hell am I doing wrong? I just don't see how you guys can keep your humidity in a tank unless the substrate is completely soaked and almost muddy looking.
I am at a loss.
