I need help with Mr. Frog my Cane Toad

Hes lost alot of weight and I do mean alot of weight to the point I'm quite worried about him,to that end I've been feeding him Crickets which I know are nutritionaly defficient,I've also started feeding him little pieces of hot dog weenys chopped up real small which I have to force feed him because hes refusing to eat Because my mother also lives here with us and sees fit to keep it near 60F in the house at any given time. the under tank heater he had died on me and I haven't had a chance to get another since I was in the hospital at the time it happened. in either case my question primarily is whats the best way to pack weight back onto him bearing in mind hes too weak thanks to her to eat on his own. Which rules out rats and the like.........anyway Glad to have found a Frog/Toad Forum

If you have to force feed him then the chances are it's too late. It's rare for frogs/toads to recover after reaching the point where they need to be force fed. I suggest you get him to a vet and see what the vet says.

not off the top of my Head. I use too but he was a quack though,told me Hiss my currently 16 year old Boa would only live for 1 year or less this was I believe 10 years ago now, So hes definitely a quack
