It almost looks like an open sore on his face? I never leave his crickets in there with him, if he does not eat I take them out. Its the kind of red spot on this face, looks like a split in the skin.

It looks like Tank Rub. They get it from rubbing their nose repeated against the side of the enclosure when they are stressed. You need to figure out what is stressing the frog out. Often times it is from the enclosure being too wet, due for a cleaning, the presence of poop, or sometimes if the enclosure is too small. Or the frog is just really stressed out. The Tank Rub itself is not too serious, just keep a close eye on it to make sure it doesn't get infected. Be patient. Even once he stops rubbing, it will take a couple of weeks for it to heal completely. Keep us posted.
