Probably a stupid question, but did you dig her up to take that picture or did she go into sleep mode like that on the surface?

I was wondering the same but it looks like she feel asleep on the surface b/c she doesn't look like she is covered with coco fiber like she had been dug up

She fell asleep ontop. Same with the other apricots. I only give them 2 in of coco fiber. I want to see that they are still doing ok and not getting too skinny.

Cool, thanks mike. I didn't realize that they would do that on the surface, definitely good to know. I always figured it would be kind of hard to keep an eye on the while they're estivating if they're completely buried.

I started off at 80 degrees with moist coco fiber. Let the fiber dry out for a few weeks. Start lowering the temp each week by 4 degrees. I have mine at 68 to 70
