Our FBT got out of his cage today and was somewhat squished behind the bed. Our main concerns are: he's not moving much(obviously) and his left eye is bleeding. The blood has enveloped his whole eye save his pupil; it has not run out of it. He is breathing erratically and his breaths definitely seem labored.
any help, information, and advice will be greatly appreciated.
He is also making a slight, almost constant, popping noise.
can you post a pic of the toad? How 'squished' was he? Blood building up behind the eye seems like he would be having internal bleeding?
Is he moving around ok? I would strongly recommend taking him to the vet.
Well he is starting to move around a lot more closing his eyes and going under water and just now it looks like he is trying to get out of the little water bowl we put him in. Unforchantly there is vet we can take him to around us.. Or else I would be there ):
I found this one online. Can you take him here? http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=C...rman,+Oklahoma
I'm really sorryI wish I could be of more help. I would put him in a quarantine tank (with a tight fitting lid) put maybe a couple inches of water, and a dry area like a large rock. Make sure it is easy for him to get in and out of the water, and keep an eye on him. Keep me updated

What do you mean? If what comes out?
While I was on the forum I was looking up what the redness in his eye could be and a link came up with the eye "popping out" I was a little worried and I also did not want my frog to lose an eye over me forgetting to put the lib back on.
BUT As of now he is looking WAY better! The the redness in his eye is almost gone and he is now officially eating and trying to mate with his other tank buddies!![]()
Wooohoo! I am so glad to hear that! I wouldn't know what to tell you to do if his eye popped out! It is good that he is eating! I'm sure he will be fine.Maybe he was just stressed?
So glad to hear he was doing better - still doing good I hope!
