The overly large toepads, overall size, and a name like Fidel make Cuban the most likely ID. For an added confirmation you can check if the skin on the top of its head is fused to the skull (see Florida Wildlife Extension at UF/IFAS and obviously ignore the part about euthanizing ).

I have read that report from FL fish and game. While i don't condone mass euthanizing of any animal, i do understand their issues down there. Too many released pets in the environment cause too many problems for the local wildlife.
