If the pinkie is dead already, imo it's much more difficult to get your frog to eat it, without the movement to trigger it to strike. I'm sure if you had a live one, your frog's response would be much more different. If you are using tongs to hold the pinkie, you can try offering it in a position where your frog cannot see your hand, and then make the pinkie do a little dance, or make it walk, etc. That could help trigger the movement response. Also, when they are young, they get scared pretty easy, so that also has an impact on eating.

Edit: Did you see how mine reacted to his pinkie treat? It's in a thread a few down.

I do not know how old your frog is, but when they are young it is a little more difficult to feed them with dead food. You really have to get them interested in something that is moving a lot. I would stick to insects when your frog is young because mice are more of a treat when they grow up.
Think of mice = cake. If you feed a child cake everyday then the child will become unhealthy and have weight problems. The same goes for reptiles and amphibians. A proper diet with variety of insects and mammals will make them healthy.
here is a few things I feed my 2 1/2 year old pyxi frog :
    -nightcrawlers (staple)
    -crickets (few times a week)
    -dubia roaches (staple)
    -superworms (occassional)
    -dead mice (very occassional)
    good luck!

yes, my boy is a very picky eater, but he has some heath issues, he is ok now, but he would eat only crickets and nightcrawlers ( from under the water). He would never eat pinkie, he attacks it as he would other male frog, very funny actually to watch
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
