Males will develope a dark patch on the inside of each thumb twards their chest. This dark patch is called a nuptial pad and is used by males to grip the female during amplexus. Of course if the frog calls(croaks) then its a dead give away that its a male.

You will probably be able to detemine sex by the next month or so.

Ornate males are pretty much the same SVL on average as Cranwelli males. Females of each species are larger though, but not by a whole lot on average. Female Ornates can be 5.5 inches to 6 inches and rarely they will hit 8 inches. Cranwrlli females can be large as well reaching 4.25 inches to 4.5 inches on average, but can reach 5 to 5.5 inches. I have a 5 inch female cranwelli.

Many shops either don't actually know the species they are selling and will label them incorrectly. Ornates and Cranwelli are mistaken alot, but sometimes they will mislabel a Ornate as a Cranwelli and you get a good deal.

I don't have any of my males available at the moment, but this thread has photos of both male and females.
