I have an giant pyxie that I got as a froglet back in Juy. I assume it was a male because he'd croak a few times at night, during the summer (he hasn't croaked since). But, I'm not sure if he's really a he. I've seen a lot of pix of males, and my frog's head doesn't seem to be large enough. But he does have nice "male" color and no dorsal stripe. So, male or female?

would you be able to post ore pic of him? saying him as it looks like, but more pics would help saying it for sure.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
that's him in my first post, I have a few pix of him in my profile album, but I don't think any of them show his head to body size. I'll try to take a picture of that this weekend.
Male or female, you have a beautiful frog!
Love the tons of color that it's got![]()
Adult ABFs lack a dorsal stripe. Males have a yellow or orange blotches at the base of their forelegs. I have no doubt that your frog is a male![]()

coloring is not an indicator really, yes males tend to have more orange/yellow, but there are a lot of males without coloring at all and very orange females. small and narrow head in comparison to a body is a sign of a female. please post more pics especially from top to be sure.
