Hello knowledgable frog people, The tiny frog in the pic was found in a river on our farm near Vanwyksdorp in the Klen Karoo this morning. We;ve never seen such a small frog - 8mm (approx).
Identification would be much appreciated.
So tiny. I was leaning towards a Red-legged kassina Rooibeen-vleipadda from what I see in leg markings

Is that thing full grown? It's so small! very cute
Is it just me or do the tiny legs on the big body make it look deformed?
Kind of looks like a toad to me, but I really have no idea of what it could be. I did a search for south african toads and it kind of looks like a Gutteral Toad, look it up. The bands on it's back legs are what stands out.
