    Default starting jewls new tank

    heres the tank. its an 18x18x24 exo terra.
    heres the background so far. not all of its glued on yet. but i just started.

    gotcha that's gonna look cool with water running all over it. you should get some neat effects from the lighting with the water rushing over all that shiny stone

    thats what i was going for. what i can't fgure out is if i want to jst silicone the base or should a spread silicone over the top to?? U know what i mean?? lol

    would acyrlic paint be safe to use to paint the tubing in my tank???

    Yes, but it must be sealed. I used 2 part epoxy to seal mine.

    so if i painted it then covered it with silicone itd be ok?

    it will work, but will dry very dull looking. 2 part epoxy will dry clear. i used clear acrylic nail polish to seal the mushrooms in my mantella tank

    its not to bad. i painted the pvc pipe black covered with silicone it blends in better. i covered the tube with dirt on the sides. ill post pics as soon as i get my wood sanitized and into the tank. i love how its coming together.
