I moved my guy onto paper towels yesterday per the vet's instructions. I feel like I am CONSTANTLY misting the tank to keep the humidity up. Any suggestions? Maybe a second water bowl? If I decide to keep him on them permanently I will get a fogger, but for now I just need a few suggestions. I don't mind misting, but he is an easily stressed frog so my constant misting is scaring him.
I use thick paper towels. Also, extra layers help. They should wet enough so that if you tip the tank, the water should pool to one side. I also use a fish tank top. It holds in warmth and humidity. I leave the lid propped up with an eraser for ventilation.
Thanks for the suggestions! I guess it seems like common sense, but when it's your own frog you kind of forget everything. Including how to problem solve!
Also misting the lid to the tub helps alot. Instead of misting him direcctly you just mist the lid. It helps with hunidity alot. Espcially if you let it sit like that over night.
