Probiotics definitely can keep help to keep bacteria in balance when choosing the appropriate ones. Worms though are a parasite needing medication. Parasites can be brought in via feeder insects and plants, though usually from insects. It's tough to know the source unless the frog has repetitive recontaminations after having been treated and cleared of the worms.
Panacur is a proven cure and is inexpensive. The vet provided does not charge a doctors fee, just med payment and fecal test, if requested. Just a thought in case you'd like his help.
