    Exclamation Freak Me Green!!

This morning Ernie was nowhere to be found in my vivarium. Nowhere! Total heartattack until I finally spotted the little brat BEHIND the backdrop. He squished his little froggie self in between it and the glass. Comfortably, somehow. He's head up, which means either he backed in, or he was able to turn himself around in there. He looks quite content but I'm freaking out. I've not handled my frogs yet, and don't really want the first time to be wrangling Ernie out of his safe hideyhole.

Your opinion please: if he is head up, can I assume that since he got in, he can get out?

I'd expect he can get out, but if theres anyway you can safely increase the space between the background and the glass, even a small amount, I'd probably do it just to be sure. If you can remove the background altogther, I'd just take it out completely until you have a chance to seal it off to prevent this from happening again.

When backed into a refuge treefrogs can be very stubborn to shift unless you can find a way to gently prod from behind so ideally he'll come out on his own. You can also try enticing him to move by danglng food items above him but on the outside of the glass.

That's what I thought. He looks so content where he is, lol.
