I was on a small vacation this past thursday, friday, and saturday and left my mom to take care of my various herps. When I arrived home around 2:30pm Pacific standered time I went to feed my herps only to find my Pacific Tree Frog (Phil) and 3 California Slender Salamanders dead. As it turns out my mom forgot to mist them and kept the room temp at 80F the whole trip. I am still checking to make sure i have no other deaths.

Slender Salamanders are very delicate and should be left to advanced hobbyists, if at all. That is beside the point though. I sympathise with your loss, but mainly I sympathise with the poor animals. Honestly, you shouldn't be keeping amphibians unless you can provide stable care conditions for them. I'm deeply shocked that your setups are obviously not adequate to allow you to leave the animals alone for just 3 days. Please give serious thought to this before deciding whether or not to get more amphibians.
