Hello I have 2 Fire belly toads.
I went to feed them today and noticed my older one (male) kind of floating in the shallows.
I tried to take him out he flipped on his back and just floated there I got him out wrapped him in a towel and now he is in warm water (just a bit) with a dash of honey.
He is defintely sick and just is kind of lying on his stomach.
I have pictures. I also notice he looks chubbier than yesterday and has a bit of fluff like when a goldfish dies.![]()
I moved him onto a warm cloth on the land of the tank. He seems to have very poor motor skills. I have no idea what to do as no vets or stores are open right now
I replied to your other post![]()
Thank you very much I have answered questions
he looks like he swallowed something like a rock or inhaled water![]()
Fluff?? Like bacteria or fungal growth? If their is a sort of fuzzy looking growth on his skin then its fungal. He needs a vet.
I hope he makes a full recovery.
