Hi all
We managed to get some 6 auratus froglets.
About 2.5cm head to vent
They seemed big enough to take baby lateralis (new hatchling nymphs) but they are too afraid of it
Wanna know what else can i feed them as food is our main problem here...
Will they eat whiteworms ?
They should be on a staple of fruit flies (D. Melanogaster) and can eat the larger variety (D Hydei) when full grown. They can also eat springtails and isopods. Springtails and isopods are good to have in the tank because along with being a food source, they are also little tank cleaners.Food should be dusted with a calcium+D3 and a multivitamin powder a few times a week. Repashy's calcium plus is good, and RepCal's calcium with D3 and Herptivite multivitamin powder.
I agree with everything Sherry said! If they're a little intimidated maybe try something like Phoenix Worms (I think thats a proprietary name). They're easy to contain in one spot and aren't going to crawl around too much.
One friend came over and bought them all from us...lucky me
Less headache now...
But big headache coming soon...
We cannot get hold of melanogasters...yet
But we do have a steady supply of pinheads...and we are working on getting some springtails
Only wondering if they will eat white worms as a friend has some culture of them
