I was feeding everyone and went to feed Clyde, and when I took him out of his hut I noticed to was leaned to his right side and walking in circles. At first I thought stroke, seizure, etc.. However upon closer inspection it seems he has I hired his front right arm somehow, like he can't put weight on it. I felt the arm, and did not feel any breaks or see any cuts. He can be extremely aggressive when eating, and does flips when he grabs food from time to time. I think he may have landed bad.
Here are some pics. Anyone else think my suspicions are true?
His setup. Nothing in here that could have really injured him as far as I can see...
Any suggestions in how to help the healing process?![]()
You ever leave crickets in there? If they climb up to the screen top he might've jumped up and come down bad. That sucks man. Sorry to hear he's hurt. Hope he heals well. Might need a vet to see what's wrong and advise treatment.

Thanks

He needs a vet Bruce. That looks bad. I've seen them when they can't put weight on their front legs. It may be dislocated.
I feed him nightcrawlers, no crickets.
I think you may be right Grif![]()
He just dig himself completely under... Should I let him test it and see how it goes? Or should I dig him up tomorrow and take him?
One step ahead of ya griff. I'll take him in then, keep you guys posted
I hope he gets better Bruce, that's a huge bummer.![]()
What scares me is I have no clue how this could have happened...
Update:
Well, I made an appointment at my vet for 10:30, and when I went to take Clyde out of the cage, first thing I noticed was he was laying straight, and promptly tried to bite me as usual. However I thought this was weird considering the situation. He then came out of his burrow ok his own power and looked 100% better from last night. It still looks like he slightly favors that arm a little bit, but he is now bearing weight on it. I canceled the vet appointment for now, I'm gunna see how he's doing later on.
This is making me think it could have been something neurological, such as a minor stroke...
I'm keeping a close eye on him. I may still end up taking him later today or tomorrow. The issue is tere aren't really any good herp vets around me. My families normal vet said she'd take a look, but even if something was wrong she honestly wouldn't know what to do anyway.. I think I'll research more vets and try to find someone that would know what to do if they found something.
ill be praying for clyde ... i know how worried u must be hope he gets betta
hope he'll get better and it looks like he is already better, keep us posted please
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Well, considering he's in his pool, calling, biting me (or attempting to) and seems to be wanting food, I think he's better... I'm thinking its gotta be stomach cramps or gas?
Maybe he slept on it wrong.
Glad to see he's improved.
Nope... I found out why... He had to go to the bathroom... And it was quite large, and by quite large I mean longer than he was, and he wasn't compacted cause he just went 5 days ago. Makes sense being his right side...
Warning: image is graphic!
