They've had one pinkie each up till now. This is thier first mouse meal. I know, I know, I should have gave prekilled or FT, but I wanted them to hunt! at least once.
Enjoy!!!

That first vid is crazy lol, how old is your male in that vid.
Awesome videos! I think I need to get myself a pixie... Lol
6 months give or take a couple weeks. I don't know what thier emergence date is, I figure they were a couple weeks to a month old when I got em. I took the video yesterday.

Why are you getting rid of the females?![]()
Niiiiice hopefully when my frog decides to start eating again he will be interested in some rodent.
Well, the male is getting really big (can almost swallow the girls). Never have a problem with them except when mass feeding crickets (feeding frenzy) or earthworms (I call it spagetti. 30 worms on a plate, with some supplements on top like parmasean cheese). They get worked up and will bite each other when they see movement, not good. My male has grabbed two of the females in this situation and because I like the convenience of just mass feeding them instead of getting them out one at a time I'll just get rid of the females.
Also, my tank is a 40 breeder. That's a little small for all four frogs. I debated keeping one female because I know my big guy will be depressed. Not anthropamorphising, its real. They enjoy tank mates and have been known to go off food when you isolate them after they've always been cohabitated. If it comes down to that the females are a dime a dozen, and it depends on the frog. My male is kind of a loner anyway, so I'll see how it goes.

I hope he gets going. Can't imagine how I would feel if mine started getting health problems. I'm kind of a worry wart though when it comes to these frogs.

Dude, you're enclosure looks really cool, you should do a short video on that. Both of the feeding videos are good, that first female was a feisty.
I wish I could take one of the females![]()
Well, they are sold already or I would give you one. It's much more fun to get little tiny ones and see them grow. They are cheap!! But warning, they eat A LOT. Can get expensive when my male alone will eat 30 crickets easy in a sitting. He'll eat 10-15 night crawlers in a meal. He'll eat 5-8 adult dubia (I breed them so cost is negligeable on these guys).
This is my feeding schedule for all four Pyxies; You can check your local prices and see what it would cost you:
Mon, Wed, Fri - Night crawlers (30-40) with a couple dubia ea (15-20) (dusted with Miner-all/Vit-all, or Repashi calcium + once per week; Twice if the big guy is growth spurting)
Sun, Thurs - Gut loaded crickets (200-250 cricket feeding frenzy)
Sat - Digestion day. Sometimes I don't feed them sunday, but they are scary hungry by Mon.
You don't have to feed this much. This is what I feed based on the "as much as they will eat in 10-15 min" rule. Once they get the size mine are right now, you should probably feed every other day. I can't because I don't want them to get in the habit of biting each other when they see any movement.
My frogs have grown a ton, but other than the one female, are not overly fat. They have great muscle and bone structure, and are very active and alert.
