Well folks, I figure I like your forum here and want to show you my frogs....kind of an intimate moment I think.
I came down to turn out lights last night and check on Rhino (C. Oranata) one more time and caught my big guy shedding.
The male and two of the females are about 6 mo old, and the one I called 'Blob" is a little older, not sure of her age.
Enjoy!!

Your pyxies are awesome! I didn't know you could house them together. That's coolRhino looks a lot better!
From MY experience they thrive together, but do fine alone as well. You can't let them get hungry. As I stated in the video, the last couple weeks have been the only signs of actual aggression (if you could call it that) I have seen. Its only during feeding time when I do mass feeding frenzy with about 250 crickets. I take them out one by one for this now, or try to feed single frogs when they are alone on the land area. The problem is, when they see me and are in the water they jump up onto land to be fed. Lol.
I will be separating the females out this week. The male is getting big enough to eat them and I won't take a chance.

he looks awesome, i always find frogs shedding interesting thanks for sharing![]()
~ Australian frogs Gotta love them
Nice video. They're all pretty big, but since the males do get so much larger than the females it would be a good idea to separate them. They all look great!
These frogs actually cohabitate very well. Size difference always is a major consideration. Never put any pyxies with a large size difference together. I think I'll get another male if he gets depressed. We'll see.

They look amazing! I just let me make and female soak together tonight, went pretty well. I know they say they must be kept separate but from my experiences as well as yours I'm beginning to think this isn't entirely the case...
