Listening to my bombina calling. I'm up at 5:30 a.m. and having been reading new posts as a guest. One of my fire-belly toads has been calling off and on and it's so peaceful sitting here in the dark. A friend is picking me up and we're off to a small herp show in Tulsa today, kinda a last minute road trip.

The post about the 30-min. tank and growing moss was just what I wanted to know about. Thanks, and I think naked salamanders are cute.

Also, we are raising Anderson newts at the Zoo and I love their little red feet. And we have one (1) golden Panamanian froglet. The eggs of this group are had to raise.

Good luck with the newts. That species seems to breed well for zoos in the US. I got some nice photos of them at SCZ in Wichita.

It seems like a bunch of US zoos have Atelopus zeteki, so someone's got it figured out.
