Getting worms from your yard is not safe. Some of the fertilizers could still remain in the soil and poison the frog. You can use a large tote to keep them in for breeding. You could jjust order a 200 count container online and use that to begin breeding the worms. Crickets are easy to breed, but the smell bad.
