Hi all,
Ive had my PAC for quite a while now and I think I have caught the pacman bug
When I was out earlier I saw a great little albino. He was the last one left so I had to buy him.
This little guy is very small compared to my other PAC and I wondered if it is ok to keep him on Eco earth?
i would say he is smaller than a uk 50 pence piece.
Yes eco earth is good for Pacmans of all ages.
That's good then.
Just wanted to make sure he has what's best. Some reptiles need different substrate when young I didn't know if this was the same with amphibians
Eco earth is very safe. You could also keep it on paper towels for the first couple weeks. Or transfer the little guy to a small container with paper towel for feeding. Eco earth has no impaction risk so I have never worried about it tho. Mine has been on eco earth since she was the size of a quarter.
You can also tong feed to reduce the amount t of eco earth accidently ingested
You've been given good advice here. All I have to add is that you should search through the soil thoroughly so you can pick out any debris that may be in the substrate that could cause a potential impaction.
Thanks everyone for the great advice like always.
its much appreciated
