    Default Half-Sack

Alright, I just had to post pictures of this. Ever since I got this guy he has had this little quirk to him. He tends to leave his sack out, but only half way. lol. Here's some pics.

Now, is this something that I should be concerned about or is it just him? He seems to look a little on the boney side and he kind of has flab-flaps on his sides if he's not puffed up. He looks rather deflated. I've tried to fatten him up a bit but he just doesn't want to except food most of the time, fortunately he was raised on Pacman food and 2 minutes before this picture was taken he ate a good chunk of that. He also likes nightcrawlers. I'm hoping he will fill out some more and soon, but we'll see.

Also if you can tell, his colors aren't as blue as in my avatar picture, that's because he has a fake plant in with him and he's trying to blend in with that. I've also decided to name him "Peco" after a character in Breath of fire 3 (Playstation game) but I'm starting to think I should call him "Half-Sack". Heh.

I dont see it to be a problem. Many breeder males of the Samurai line develope a very saggy vocal sac and it usually remains somewhat inflated all the time. I bekieve ive only seen this in their breeds though. Especially the Sam Blues.

I would offer him as much food as he will take in a night and then skip one or two nights and do the same again. Try offering him a pinky or fuzzy for weight gain too.

Alright thanks Grif. He's just a picky little guy but I haven't been too pushy with him. I offered him a Hopper 2 weeks ago and he grabbed it by the front leg in a weird position so then he sat there and ripped/chewed/gnawed on it for about 5 minutes trying to position it right to swallow than he just spit it out and has refused since then (don't worry it was f/t, it would have been horrifying otherwise). Before I got him he ate nothing but rat pinkies I believe once a week. I'll offer him food every two days and now that I have something else he likes hopefully he'll eat more. He was fed pacman food as a froglet, so maybe he remembers it.

On another note, I just had a really funny experience with my green.. it was his first time eating pacman food. He wasn't responding to it, so I waved a worm in his face.. He woke up quick and turned to eat it, but I pulled the worm away and replaced it with the pacman food.. I bumped his lips with it he opened up and I poked it into his mouth. He swallowed it down while trying to spit it out, he had the most violated look on his face, lol. Hopefully he'll learn to like it, he has refused any other food besides worms for months.
