In these pictures, my frog is a little puffed up because s/he doesn't enjoy being removed from his/her tank at all lol.
Right now s/he's at 6.5-7 cms SVL.
Is it still to small to guess the sex?
I'd appreciate anyone's input

The last pic looks like a male cause of the head but i could be wrong.
I'm hoping!
Try getting a front on pic level with the frog. Sometimes its easier to tell head to body ratio and throat coloration.
Edit: I see your avatar is like what I was talking about. How new/old is the pic in your avatar?
Double edit: The more I look the more I think it's still too early to tell. Or I just don't know enough. I'm noticing the frog has zero yellow at all. That's sometimes an indicator of female but I'm not sure if the yellow is never there when they're young and developes as they age.
I'll try but I'm gonna wait until tomorrow. S/he's been stressed out enough for one day.
ACTUALLY here's one. Forgot about it

The only thing throwing me off is the lack of yellow as I mentioned on my second edit lol. Maybe I just don't know enough about pixie frogs.
Here's a picture I just took of him/her sitting on top of the filter, not puffing up anymore and chilled out.

What is her age?
I've only had it for a month, but when I got him/her s/he was just a little bit bigger than a quarter.
She's a little young to sex, but I'm pretty sure the frog is female. Her head is very narrow in comparison to her body.
Awe, okay. I was hoping for a boy, but a girl is good too
Grif, do you think I could come back with pictures in about a month and be sure?
hm... that is one of those that I'd say too young to tell with 100% certainty. however I think it is probably a male based on first pics, visually narrow head on the last one may be because it was not happy with you a lot and puffed up, mine used to do it when he was younger and then you are getting confused on sex, visual middle line is also indicator of female, but the frog is under 3", so it might be because it is too young still. coloring under arms is not indicator, males tend to have brighter color, but there are plenty of males without it and females with orange coloring. i say wait and be back in a while with more pics![]()
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Thanks, Lija

It's been about 3 weeks, so maybe we can tell now?
I'm starting to honestly think male because the head has widened significantly. But I know I'm nowhere near experienced with this, so chime in ya'll!
P.S.- SVL is now approximately 11 cm, or 4.3 in.
sorry about this being the only new pic thusfar. S/he's extra hoppy this morning and this was the only picture I could get that wasn't an olive-green blur.
I would lean toward the frog being a male
100% male!
